Giving Back

Over the years of being in business and living in our local community, we have come to realize more and more the importance of giving back! We are firm believers in the saying, "Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it.” Since we believe so strongly in this as part of our day-to-day lives, we have decided to support organizations that we believe will make a great impact -- not only in our local community, but beyond.

Below are a list of the organizations we support, and links to their websites, if you wish to gather further information about them.

World Vision

World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. They work in nearly 100 countries, serving people regardless of religion, race, ethnicity or gender. For more info, go to: http://www.worldvision.org.

Wounded Warrior Project

Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) began when several veterans and friends, moved by stories of the first wounded service members returning home from Afghanistan and Iraq, took action to help others in need. What started as a program to provide comfort items to wounded service members has grown into a complete rehabilitative effort to assist warriors as they transition back to civilian life. For more info, go to: http://www.woundedwarriorproject.org/.

Life Choices

Life Choices has passionately followed its mission to empower choices for life, sexual integrity and healthy families since 1984. In 2012, Life Choices opened a local medical clinic in Butler, Pennsylvania, and are working on opening a new maternity home. With several homeless, or near homeless, expectant moms in the Butler and Pittsburgh area, it is clear that something must be done. For more info, go to: http://www.yourlifechoicesinfo.com/.

Toys for Tots

Toys for Tots is a program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve that distributes toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas. The program was founded in 1947 by reservist Major Bill Hendricks. While Toys for Tots coordinators organize, coordinate and manage the campaign, the ultimate success depends on the support of the local community and the generosity of the people who donate toys. For more info, go to: http://www.toysfortots.org/default.aspx.

Make a Wish Foundation

Make-A-Wish serves a unique and vital role in helping strengthen and empower children battling life-threatening medical conditions. Wishes make life better for kids with life-threatening medical conditions. This simple, but powerful belief inspired the founding of Make-A-Wish and drives everything they do. Make-A-Wish is committed to an audacious vision of granting the wish of every eligible child. Tens of thousands of volunteers, donors and supporters advance the Make-A-Wish vision to grant the wish of every child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition. In the United States and its territories, on average, a wish is granted every 37 minutes. Supporters of the organization believe a wish experience can be a game-changer. This one belief guides and inspires Make-A-Wish to grant wishes that change the lives of the kids they serve. For more info, go to: http://wish.org/.

Special Olympics

Since 1968, Special Olympics has been spreading the message: people with intellectual disabilities can – and will – succeed, when given the opportunity. And it all happens through the simple power of sport. Special Olympics believes that sports can teach us all important lessons. When we train and strive for a goal, it teaches us to dream. When we struggle, it teaches us determination. When we win, we find joy. And if we lose, we can find the strength to try again. With more than 4.5 million athletes in 170 countries – and millions more volunteers and supporters, Special Olympics is also a global social movement. For more info, go to: http://www.specialolympics.org/.

By everyone doing their part, we can all come together to make the world, globally and locally, a better place!
